Description

Morland depicts two men kneeling beside a rabbit warren within a landscape. They are waiting for their ferrets to flush out any rabbits. A lurcher is eagerly poised beside them ready for the chase. Morland painted a larger version of this subject which is in the Tate collection (N01497).
