A to Z of artists Wilson, Thomas Op. 1808 - 1846

Animal, landscape and portrait painter from Hull, he is known as ‘Wilson of Hull’.  He is recorded as living first at 29 Bond Street, Hull and later at 46 and then 60 Saville Street.  Several horse portraits are recorded by him and a number of works by him have been exhibited in Hull at various times over the years but little else is known about him.
